I'm venturing into new ways to share my photography. Thank you for exploring my ONLINE SHOP showcasing my creative, artistic photography. Share your reactions with me & others!

My photography is driven with my concern for creativity, style, & technical excellence, Regardless of subject, whether it's for clients, or artistic expression, my personal challenge is to create consistently the most striking photography.

Photo subjects evolve for me. I try not to limit myself! I do enjoy the demands & mastery of different types of photography. I tend to be bold with color, enjoy subjects that have strong graphic elements. I love telling the unique visual story. Digital imagination with creative editing, that results in a surreal vision is also part of expressing myself as an artist.

I've enjoyed visiting many interesting locations, grateful for all the photography I've done along the way. It brings back great memories. Sometimes past work opens my eyes to new interpretation, revising, then creating new views.

Photography fills my life with interesting people, lots of projects, the skills to continue to master, and the joy of just creating. Here's how I spend a lot of my time.

Barbara Masek Photography is a commercial business, working with business clients for over a decade. I specialize in head & portrait, event, and promotional assignments.

I do club competition photography digital & print. The act of preparing new work that is judged bi-monthly, against other worthy photographers, helps me to stay disciplined, and generate new photography regularly. The recognition is great, but the judge critiques are invaluable.

I believe in contributing to others with activities that inspire & promote learning in photography. I've taken on organizational leadership roles since 2008 in various photography platforms. I've developed & provide to club members a photography speaker series with SF-Bay Area keynote photographer speakers. I want to make a difference to whom I enjoy being around. I first organized a women's photography group in 2013 because it sounded fun to do, but it's still important today. The focus is on monthly collaborative learning, photo assignment, photo field practice. It's so good being immersed in something I really love, with the people I care about.

There is rule that a photographer should specialize in a ‘single subject’ and stay in that lane to be successfully recognized. I say, 'Why start now?'

Narrow focus just doesn’t always fit with creative vision!
